About UsCouncil
12898 of the Knights of Columbus is part of the St. Isidore Parish in Kanata,
Ontario. Our motto is "In service to one. In service to all." Our
core values are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. We are
a charitable organization for Catholic gentlemen, committed to family and
building community. We raise money by hosting breakfasts, dinners, dances,
picnics, and other social events each month. Contributions go to the church
building fund, vocations, scholarships, and right-to-life efforts. This year the council has committed to
raising $5000 for the church building fund. As the
strong right arm of the parish, we perform services such as tree pruning,
painting, and setting up the Christmas tree. We hold
monthly meetings where we discuss Bible readings, plan events, and listen to
guest speakers. Many of us engage in additional volunteer efforts and ministries. EventsThe Events page lists the schedule for 2009-2010. Knights of the YearNorm
Reid named John Tollmann and Chris Cummins as Knights of the Year for Council
12898, for their participation in council events and frequent help with
parish maintenance.
